Just a quick update for 2013. The Australian Geography Teachers Association (AGTA) have moved quickly to provide resources to support Geography teachers in implementing the new Australian Curriculum by creating the GeogSpace website. Resources have been developed for each year level as well as across trickier concepts like geographical inquiry or assessment in geography.

The ICTs in geography section of the GeogSpace website in particular focuses on the use of simple geospatial technologies right through to the advanced geospatial tools that teachers can use in the classroom. There are also links to videos, activities, classroom resources and a series of blogs for each illustration which are regularly updated.

So rather than updating material here and on the GeogSpace blogs I thought I'd point you there once you have explored this site. I won't update here (unless something is terribly incorrect or out of date) but there are resources here that will still be useful.
